Red Camellias- Sold!

"Red Camellias"
watercolor (6" x 6")

One of the best parts of living in Southern that there never is a season where we don't have blooming flowers....this month the camellias and azaleas are abundant in their blooms. Today I learned that the camellia is the most popular and highly respected flower in Southwest China. It was honored as the national flower for the ancient southern kingdom, Dai Li. And did you know that Camellia sinensis is the species of plant whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce Chinese tea (White tea, green tea, oolong, pu-erh tea and black tea?

On a business note....some of my smaller paintings will now be offered unmounted ($95), making it even more affordable to have fine art in your home.  In addition, you will now have the option to have your painting mounted on museum archival board, UV and element protected, and sent to you with a display easel. (i.e. Little Moments and Little 'Scapes") ($150, free shipping in US).
