An Afternoon in Radicondoli-Sold!

"An Afternoon in Radicondoli"
watercolor (9" x 12")

Imagine this...
Strolling along the narrow streets of a little Tuscan village.
Warm in the sun, cool in the shadows.
Flowers are blooming in their terracotta pots.
Shutters are open, some still closed.
Let's grab some pizza here!

Where it All Happens

"Where It All Happens"
watercolor (5" x 7")

Not sure what I was thinking when I titled this piece.
Not even sure if this is where it all happens on a steam engine,
but I am sure it probably is an important part of the train.

watercolor (11" x 14")
Waiting...why is it so hard?
Is it because we are in a hurry?
Is it because "our time is more precious than others"?

Waiting...why is it so hard?
Is it because we can't be present?
Is it because we are tired?

Waiting...why is it so hard?
I think its hard because it means we need to have complete faith that God knows what He is doing....
and let's be real, that's hard!

If you are interested in today's painting. It's $750 framed. email me for a payment plan.

Three Little Pigs- Sold!

 "Three Little Pigs"
watercolor (7" x 10")

Where does the time go?
Wasn't it just yesterday when we walked you into your kindergarten class?
Whereas today you started 5th grade
Where did the sweet little picture books go?
In its place are pre-alegebra, science tests, and now "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"

As much as I would love just another moment in time read "The Three Little Pigs" to you,
I am so proud of how much of a little lady you are
and where you are going in your life.

Summer en Plein Air #9

 "Bailey Canyon Waterfall"
Watercolor (10" x 7")

So sad...summer is coming to a close.
This will probably be my last painting for the "Summer en Plein Air" series.
Today we hiked up Bailey Canyon in Sierra Madre to the waterfall.
As usual, dog frolicking in water.....
daughter frolicking along....
and me painting away.
The unusual part of the outing was on the hike back out,
We ran into a nice sized snake gobbling down a lizard....
Yucky and a bit frightening to come upon.
We re-grouped and continued on...all the while reflecting on what a fabulous summer we had.
Hope you all had a great summer too!

Today's painting is available,
just email me

A New Day

"A New Day, Pasadena City Hall Courtyard"
watercolor (16" x 12")

Some views always look the same.
Do we get tired of them, do we find comfort in them or do they frustrate us?
If your "views" are tiring or frustrating you,
what can you do differently change your view for tomorrow?
