Waiting for the Vase

"Waiting for the Vase"
watercolor (7" x 10")

Are flowers any less pretty laying down?
No, I do not think so.
Are women any less pretty when they aren't all dolled up?
No, I do not think so.

But, the perfect vase can present the flowers just perfectly.
And, let's face it girls.... the perfect outfit can make a woman shine just that much more.

"Waiting for the Vase" is available, email me if interested.

Los Angeles and 5th Street, Los Angeles

"Los Angeles and 5th Street, Los Angeles"
watercolor (6" x 6")

Another day, another opportunity to do something different.
How can we make that choice to do it differently?
For me, this is the hard part...choosing.
Its not actually the "doing" part that's hard....
its activating within to choose the different way.
Once all boils down to whats in your head and will power.

Today's piece is available email me if interested

San Francisco

"San Francisco"

What do you do when your good friend Kelley Sanford says "We should do this"?
Well, first you say "What is this?" (I've learned from past experiences with her)
Turns out, its a Painting Challenge posted by Terry Miura.

In the Distance- Sold

"In the Distance"
watercolor (4" x 10")

Sometimes it's what is in the distance that matters...
Not all this busyness in the foreground,
but that far off place...which we really can't see now,
but we know that its there.
And maybe if we do it just right,
we will find joy in the journey.

Vroom Vroom! -Sold!

"Vroom Vroom!"
watercolor (16" x 20")

When you find yourself painting F1 race cars (and you are definitely not into racing)...
you have to ask what the heck?
Yes, I have done some challenging subject matter in the past (i.e. trains, hippos, elephants)...
so why not the race car?
Nothing like a good challenge to start your day!

If this F1 race car suits me.

A Peak of St Andrews

"A Peak of St. Andrews"
watercolor (6" x 6")

Driving the other day, I glanced to my right.
There I saw this ensemble of buildings....
I liked the arrangement..and thought hmmm,
lemme try to paint this.
So of course, out comes the camera/phone...
and well you know the routine...
 my daughter slouches down mortified.
If you are local, yep...that's St. Andrews tower in the far back.
